Episode Guide
Blazing Dragons' two series were very different. That is fact; what follows is mainly opinion. Airing in the 4.15 p.m. slot on CITV, the twenty-one-minute episodes of Series 1 were clever, funny and packed with compelling characterisation. For Series 2, the show was dumbed down and bumped to an earlier time slot. Each episode contained two ten-minute stories, some better than others, but all lacked the brilliance of the Series 1 episodes. The storylines were rushed and rather dull, though sometimes entertaining enough. The character designs became bolder, more colourful and, frankly, not as nice to look at. Most characters underwent a costume change between series, while their inner dimensions were stripped away until they possessed one or even fewer, with Sir Hotbreath and Sir Galahot disappearing altogether. However, Sir Blaze and Sir Burnevere were given more screen time in Series 2, so at least they benefited from increased characterisation.
